If there are any bugs in the Instagram app preventing the face filters app from working, there are a few things that can be done to fix them. Some of these fixes are there to bring the app up to date and fix any issues you’re experiencing at the moment.
Restart the App
In case you find that the filters aren’t working properly, you may want to try closing the application. This is usually a quick and easy solution to any issues that you may be having with your phone.
If you own an iPhone, then you can simply swipe away from the app on your screen to exit. The newer iPhones without a home button have the capability of bringing up all the windows simply by putting your finger down at the bottom of the screen and then swiping up. When you are using an older iPhone with a home button, you can launch all of your open windows by pressing the home button twice quickly.
When it comes to Android, there are different steps that you have to follow. One of them is forcing Instagram to close. If you want to do that, here’s how you do it.
1. Go to the settings app on your phone. This app has an icon that seems to resemble a gray gear.
2. Go to the “Apps” option in your settings. This screen displays a list of available apps.
3. You can see the app information for Instagram by selecting “Instagram” on the Apps list.
4. Select “Force Close” at the top of the screen.
Check Internet Connection
Make sure you have a good internet connection by browsing through the Instagram app normally and checking to see if any posts are having problems loading. If there is, you’ll need to wait for a faster connection, or you can switch from WIFI to data.
Clear Space on your Phone
Filters come and go all the time and new ones are always being added. They do not just appear on your Stories. For you to have them, you need to have enough space on your phone to load them first, meaning that you have to have enough space to have them. You should delete any apps, pictures, and files that you do not need so that there is enough memory to keep installing the filters constantly. As a consequence, if you do not clear space, then the filters that you can use might appear grey and not work. After this, you should be able to access the filters without any issues and you should be able to use them in any way you like.
Restart Your Phone
This is one of the easiest ways to fix any problem you have with your phone. It may seem as though restarting your phone won’t work, but it actually does several different things. The program frees up RAM, forces the cache to be cleared, and allows you to fully restart the program.
Clear the App’s Cache
1. Go to the Settings app. There is an icon of a gear on the right-hand side of the screen.
2. You can access that option by scrolling down the Settings menu to “Apps.”
3. Select Instagram from the list of apps on your device when you are in the Apps menu.
4. When you click on the app, you will have to choose an option from the screen that says, “Storage.”.
5. On the top of the storage screen, you will find two options: Clear Data and Clear Cache.
6. Choose each of those options one by one.
Uninstall and Reinstall Instagram
In case the app continues to have issues, you may want to uninstall and reinstall it. For both Android and iPhone, you simply tap on the app’s icon on your home screen. Once you’ve located the app, hold it down.
In Android, if you hold down the app, a menu will appear above it, and you will just need to select the uninstall option.
Whenever you press and hold down the app on your iPhone, an X will appear in the corner of the screen. It is necessary to select the X icon in order to uninstall it.
When you have finished installing the app, you should reinstall it and then login to see if it is working normally.
You can now use the filters as much as you like.
