How to Post Longer Videos to Instagram Stories
Using the Instagram App (Up to 1 minute)
Instagram’s new Multiple Select feature has resulted in this side effect. As much as 10 photos can be selected for sharing as stories. If you choose a video that’s longer than 15 seconds, Instagram will automatically split it up. However, there’s a catch. This feature only works for up to four stories, according to our testing. Thus, if your video is under 1 minute, you’re good. If not, you’ll need a third-party app.
Step 1: From the Instagram Stories view, swipe up to choose a story.
Step 2: Tap on the video you want to post.
Step 3: At the bottom of the page, you will see four thumbnail views for editing Instagram Stories. Your video consists of four parts. Switch to a story by tapping on a thumbnail. Using your familiar tools, you can edit each story individually.
Step 4: When you are done editing, click Next. Press Share next to Your Story to share the story.
How to Cut Longer Instagram Videos Using CutStory
Cut Story is a feature-rich app for splitting videos into 15-second, 30-second, and other segments. This app works very well. It puts a watermark on the video by default. If you want to remove the watermark, it will cost you $0.99.
Step 1: Launch the CutStory app and select Video.
Step 2: Select the video and edit it using one of the tools.
Step 3: Click the Download button and choose the Instagram format.
Step 4: Now, wait for the videos to be split, processed, and saved to your Camera Roll.
Step 5: Open the Instagram app and go to the Instagram Stories tab.
Swipe up to find all the 15-second videos. Tap on the Select Multiple buttons in the top-right corner before doing anything else.
Step 7: Now select your videos in the order in which you would like them to be posted. You can select up to 10 videos at once.
Step 8: After you’ve selected the videos, click Next. Edit the stories here if you wish, then tap Next again. You can post all 10 videos at once by tapping “Share” next to the Your Story button!
