Change your account to a private one

You can make your Instagram account private in order to hide your posts from certain followers. Consequently, your account will not be public, and people will have to follow you to be able to see your posts. Therefore, if you don’t want a person to see your posts, you can reject their follow request. Typically, this feature is only useful when you are not currently following someone. As a result, if you have the person in your following list, you should try one of the other methods. 

Block the intended follower
